Day two in Kathmandu, we went to the garden of Dreams, was so nice to get off the dusty streets and enjoy some greenery. Still could hear all the horns blasting away outside.
Der zweite Tag in Kathmandu beginnt (den ersten haben wir ja quasi ausschließlich in der horizontale verbracht). Um zum Garten der Träume zu kommen, mussten wir erstmal durch die staubigen Straßen der Neustadt, bei deren Überquerung wie das ein ums andere Mal fast von einem Moped oder Auto erwischt wurden. Wie ihr seht ist dieser Garten eine kleine Oase im lautstark behupten Kathmandu
After the garden, we wandered around the streets, checking out all the crazy shops and buildings. They certainly go for health and safety rules here in a big way..
- Danach waren wir ein bisschen shoppen in den kleinen verwinkelten Gassen von Thamel (da es dort keine Straßennamen gibt ist es gar nicht so einfach sich zurecht zu finden)… Und da wir nicht so viel Geld bei uns hatten, mussten wir zu anderen Maßnahmen greifen…

Later on, back out for our first Nepalese feast.. (I don’t think our previous nights meal of pringles and digestive biscuits counts)
Das erste richtige Mal in Nepal… Dhal bat (Reis mit Linsen und Gemüse und scharfer Soße und Joghurt)… Ist sehr zu empfehlen (auch wenn ich erstmal knapp 5 Minuten davor saß und nicht wusste, wie man das Ganze nun isst)
